Mary passed away last night

The world was a better place because of you.  My boys were happier children because of you.  Our lives were fuller because of you.  You were part of our family.

Know that we will take care of your boys and that they will carry the memory of their beloved Mary – who is truly their god-mother now – as a wonderful childhood memory filled with laughter and hugs.  I hope you know how much love goes with you as your soul moves to its next state of being.

And please take some time to send down a special hug for Vash.  He is so horribly sad and doesn’t know why he can’t stop crying.  Tucker and Jett are working on making him feel better with puppy licks and snuggles –  but his heart is still broken.

We are going to make a Mary Angel this weekend for Vash so that he has something to hold when he feels so sad.  He said your angel should be wearing white – because that is what girl angels wear – with a fish hat too.

We will be looking for you on the other side.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.

Oh Shelly,I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am for you,Chip and the boys… …it’s so hard when you lose a member of the family, especially someone who was always there for your boys. You were a blessing to her time and time again. And don’t you ever think she didn’t know it. She loved you all so much and that love will still go on ,even if it’s from the heavens. Now you too, will have a’ special angel’.

I’ll be praying that God will give you a peace beyond all understanding while you’re going through the next few days. I wish I could be there for you in person. Love,Mom

  2. I’ll be fine – its Vash that is having the hardest time. Send your prayers to him because I think he needs them the most. He’s only 6 and he’s lost both of his Grandpas and Rodeo and Onyx and Bantam and Jesse (the dog) and both of his parents and now Mary. Thats alot for a little guy to handle.
