To help comfort a sad 6 year old’s heart when he goes to church and his Mary – whose lap he sat on through every service – is not there.
Thank you LucyBug Patterns ( www.lucybug.org/tinyangel ) for the pattern – I had to fudge on the arms and halo so I could finish it before church tomorrow morning. I know they will be talking about Mary there and Vash will be sad and angry and I want him to have something to hold that will remind him she is still there with him. Mary Angel can be tucked in a jacket pocket and go with him wherever. He will like it.
Awww..it’s perfect. It really resembles her too. What a sweet idea, Shel.
Vash needed something to hold and it worked. He was much happier in church because he could show everyone his Mary Angel and tell them about all the angels he has been seeing – in the clouds – on a fire hydrant – in a window – and how they are Mary looking over him. He held it though the entire Mass.
Oh Shelly, that came out beautiful, perfect right to the tee! I love the gray hair and the wings, not arms. Did he give it a seat all of its own,or just hold it. Mary must’ve been up there beaming!!!! Good job ,Shelly….some days you just’ blow me away’. Love, mom
He held it in his hands through the entire mass and then showed everyone his Mary Angel afterwards. It really helped him. He could focus on her being an angel instead of being gone. We will give her proper arms during the week – I just couldn’t do it at midnight and still get everyone up on time this morning.
