Each grade in the school has old fashioned races in the field (or in the gym when it rains) with each class pitted against the other – color against color.
The First Grade Field Day was on Tuesday. Vash’s team was White. Here are some pictures from the day.
The problem with races is there is not alot to do while you wait for your turn to race.
Some races involve carrying kooky things.
I’m sure there’s a reason to carry all of this – right?
On to the hoop race
And then the egg race.
Vash questioning the point of why we do this.
And another break.
And then onto the potato sack races.
Which is equally foolish – but fun
And then onto the water races.
Mrs. Gorman – his teacher – didn’t mind a little water.
Waiting again.
On the whole, he had a really fun morning.
His team came in first, first, second, second, first in five races. Great job Vash!!!
