Second and Third Grade Field Days

The Second and Third Grade Field Days were rained out so they were held in the gym.  I had Court all day that day so Chip had to cover both field days and Vash’s Reader’s Theater on his own.  As a result, we don’t have as many pictures of these events as the pictures in the gym came out pretty dark.  The following will give you a flavor of the day.

Jesse’s team was the red team.

They ran relay races . . .

and won.

They also raced carrying loads of kooky things.

In the middle of Jesse’s field day Chip ran up to Mrs. Gorman’s class to watch Vash in his Reader’s Theater.  He was the 2d Reader and was the narrator to the story of Red Riding Hood.

Vash’s best friend Nathan was the Reader #1

Then came Markus’s Field Day.  Unfortunately, between the dark of the gym and the unfortunate red eye that came out in the pictures, I don’t have many photos to post on this one.  Plus Markus moves fast so alot of the shots were blurry because he was always moving.  So here is Markus waiting with his team – his team was the red team also.

That is his teacher – Mr. Robbins – standing in the back of his kids.

Today is the last day of school.  In a few short hours I will have a 2nd grader, a 3rd grader and a 4th grader.  Oh my.

Gram, I wish you were here to see my boys.  They came after I lost you.  You would have liked them.  You would have been proud.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.

Looks like everyone had a blast on their last days. Chip really knows how to juggle! What great parents you guys are.

There are not enough great parenting medals to truly acknowledge what a great Dad Chip is to these boys. I just hope they realize it when they get older and are able to be the same type of Dad to their own children.
