Wednesdays – Home and Garden

Okay, I am trying to create some form of organization in my life and that is spilling over into my blog writing.  I found that setting Mondays as my day to report what I have done the previous week with my knitting helped me focus on getting something done during the week so I would have something to post.  Using that same concept I decided to make Wednesdays my Home and Garden day – where I can post what is happening in the garden and what we accomplished during the past week in the house.  This section may get a little sparse in the winter but we will see.  I am hopeful.  Expect something from Hawk Studio on Thursdays and something with food on Fridays.

Starting with the Home, Chip has been working on the barn still – putting up walls in both the front and back second floors.  Here is the front

Only a few more boards and the front walls will be done.  Here is the back.

Here is one where the light meter is not reading the outside (grin).

I am thinking insulation might be needed but after I have walls and windows in, we have to put in the floor.

Now onto my garden.  Again, move your cursor over the pictures for the captions to come up to tell you what they are.  First are the flowers.

And as an added bonus – look at our tomato plants!!!

And here are our baby tomatoes that are starting to pop out all over.

I keep thinking each week that I won’t have new flowers to post the next week, but more seem to be blooming every time I walk into the garden.  Makes me happy.  Hope you like looking at them.

I wonder what we can finish to show you next week.  Hmmmmmm.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.

My bachelors buttons have come and gone. I did cut them back because my brother Joel said that the plant may continue to bloom. My Hostas are crazy now, too. FYI we are still picking raspberries, so the boys did not pick nearly enough!

I love that you’re trying to organize your blog. I’m just trying to occasionally post on mine!! (btw, only 25 rows to go!!)
