Home and Garden – Treading Water

All I have to show you this week are some really yummy yellow cherry tomatoes.  The crop came in this week so the boys collected a container full and ran up to my office to show me.  Here is Jesse

Vash then did one of his model poses, showing the tomatoes, but could not quite get that fierce look going.

So he just gave up and grinned.

Kids home all day, football practice every evening and Renaissance Faire on the weekends is just killing our ability to make progress on the house.  We are all in a treading water mode.  Today is the first day in weeks that I can see the wood top of my desk.  Letters are arriving from their new teachers with supply lists and already we are looking at schedules for September and October.  Laundry seems endless and I run out of energy long before the to do list is done.  Chip is up until late each night just trying to get some work done for Hawk Studio – we need inventory if we are going to be ready for Faire next year.  When that 6:00 am alarm starts going off to get the kids ready for school he is going to be hurting.

So we are staying home this weekend and hoping for one dry day to finish Vash’s dresser.  Maybe then I can even get the hutch table cleared and organized.  Maybe.

I’ve got something really cool to show you for tomorrow’s Hawk Studio post.  I will try to post it early.  Catch you then!  🙂

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.
