Football and Homework and Soccer – oh my!!

You may have noticed the radio silence from this blog.  The beginning of the school year is always intense and this year is no exception.  Though I should have more time since the boys are gone from 7:30 to 3:00 every weekday, that time is spent working since I have a trial all next week and a few appeals in the works.  Then 3:oo hits and I have Jesse at the homework table doing his homework with Vash sitting behind him doing his reading (Markus does his homework in the kitchen with Chip) and then an early dinner and then there is football practice every evening for Markus, soccer practice on Wednesdays for Vash and Jesse, football games on Saturday or Sunday, soccer games on Sunday afternoon (during the first televised football games), church school on Sunday mornings and we are starting Boy Scout meetings already (looks like Chip will be handling the Wolf den this year).  Renaissance Faire is still going on but we have already shifted gears to the boys schedule.  I miss you all my Faire friends.

Since football takes up the majority of our life right now, I thought I would post a few shots of our football player.  First – here  is where we have been spending most of our weekends since Faire.

You might wonder how we can find Markus out there.  It is easy.  He’s the football player with the long blond hair . . .

coming out the back of his helmet.

Markus is number 12 – the same number as one of the best quarterbacks – Jim Kelly – that was ever on his favorite team – the Buffalo Bills.

Markus wanted to be a running back and made it – he is the first string running back.

He’s also the second string safety and the third string quarterback.

Chip is so amazingly proud of him – as we all are.

Tonight and tomorrow are dedicated to working on Halloween costumes.  Hopefully there will be some fun pictures to post on Sunday.  See you then.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.
