Project Report – Give me a week

Nothing to show this week – though Saturday’s Rhinebeck posts give a good yarn/roving list to at least cover what would be a yarn posting.

Yesterday I finished the mitts for the Storm costume (they announced him at the last game as their new mascot “Twister”).  Here he is at the game.

The Harry Potter cloak is in the works – the body is sewn, I need to add the hood.

Forget any knitting until the Halloween costumes are done.  It just ain’t happening baby!

I am still trying to figure out how the set up Linda Lou so that I can spin on her.  So far, not so great.  I am thinking of posting on Ravelry “Beginning Spinner in search of a more experienced spinner to explain to me what the heck is going on here!!”  I will get it – I will get it – I will get it . . . .

Now we are going out to dinner at Mexican Radio to celebrate Jesse’s wonderful progress report from school.  All of the boys did well but Jesse’s was the best he has ever had – he is running a 100 average in Math!!!!!  He is a straight A student right out of the gate.  That deserves a celebration.  Look for Harry Potter next Monday.  Should be fun.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.

I posted the process on the October 11th blog post. There was not alot of guidance out there when we were looking at how to make this, so I made sure to take lots of pictures to show folks how we did it. It is mainly a tomato cage, pipe insulation, electrical tape, a baseball helmet, a curtain rod and the fabric. And alot of patience by Vash as he had to be in it for me to do alot of it at the end. We really are nutty around here.
I also meant to tell you that I tried commenting on your blog and it would not take my comment. Maybe my computer was being touchy – I will try again – but wanted you to know why you did not see my comments yet. Technology – Sigh.
