Things may be quiet for a couple of days

As real life moves into the forefront.

My Mom, when she first read my blog, thought it was great and that I should be a writer.  What made that statement funny is that I am a writer.  I write long legal arguments – up to 70 pages long – for a living because I am an appellate lawyer.  Because of a filing deadline of Friday, I will be spending the next few days in the books, so to say, working on completing one of those long legal arguments and will probably not be writing that much here.  I will be back in time to write about one of our favorite Easter traditions – Easter bread – taught to all of us by Gram with her recipe.

I, however, had to post this picture taken at my Mom’s house many Thanksgivings ago.

Yes, this is me wearing the wonderful aran sweater Gram made me while at Mom’s house.  For some reason she did not recall seeing that sweater so I had to show her that yes, it is the white sweater I wear all the time to “refresh her recollection”.  (A legal term – I use alot of them)

Thank you for checking in with the Blog.  I appreciate every view of it.

About Shelly R.

I am a Mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an attorney, a crafter and the granddaughter of an amazing woman - my Polish Grandmother. My Grandmother gave me so much, through her love and her patience, her sayings and her time teaching me how to craft and to give to others, that it seemed fitting to share some of that wisdom, to tell some of her story, and to chat about life and crafts in a way that would be a testament to what she gave me.
